Hakuna Matata- Yoga & Mindfulness Summer Camp

Join us in the African bush for our ‘Hakuna Matata’ Summer Yoga Day Camp.

We will be taking children aged 7-11 on Safari. They will join an adventure to practice jungle inspired yoga poses, release worries, play games, enjoy craft activities, take part in themed quizzes, and generally having a lot of fun!


Activities Planned for the Day:

  • Yoga sessions: Children will go on a jungle safari meeting animals from the wild along the journey and learning partner yoga poses.
  • Mindfulness exercises: An exploration of techniques to enhance focus, relaxation, and self-awareness.
  • Fun games & Magical Quiz:  Get ready for exciting games, quizzes and activities that promote teamwork, laughter, and fun!
  • Jungle Craft Activities: Children will have the opportunity to create a pair of safari ready binoculars or make a paper plate snake or animal mask.
  • Mindfulness Walk: Join the search to find the lost Simba in the jungle, searching for paw prints and paying attention to signs, smells and clues.


Hakuna Matata – Releasing Worries – Yoga & Mindfulness Summer Camp

Time: 10am-3pm

Ages: All activities will be tailored to suit the age range of 7-11 and will prioritise fun, learning, and enjoyment.

Cost: Fully funded with thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund

What to Bring: To make the most of their adventure, children should come prepared with the following:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for physical movement
  • Sunscreen (already applied)
  • Sunhat
  • Sunglasses (optional)
  • Packed lunch (nut-free) and a labelled water bottle
  • A break time snack
  • (optional) a yoga mat


Note: This camp day is made possible by the generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund through the BFER project. The event organisers will ensure a safe environment throughout the day, with professionally qualified staff present. All activities will be age-appropriate and designed to provide a memorable and enjoyable adventure.
