Knitted Vikings

Through funding from BFER, Ancient House’ ‘Knit and Knatter’ group were given the opportunity to take part in crochet and embroidery training. The workshops ran over 2 days with 13 participants, resulting in a wonderful new collection of knitted Vikings. These knitted figurines will be used as part of the Made by the River exhibition. The group have previously made knitted crafts relating to the museums Viking History on your Doorstep exhibition.

Dolls knitted by this group have been invaluable for creating a different, tactile, way of engaging with our exhibitions which has been essential for our work with various community groups including Vision Norfolk.
