Introducing a new gallery of works following a series of seasonal photography workshops at West Stow Country Park.
How many of us have a nice digital camera sitting at home, perhaps one that we regularly take out for walks, and only ever keep it on the auto setting? Supporting people to better use the technology they already have, so that they can find another way to connect with nature, is exactly what Waters Colour has set out to do over the last year with a series of seasonal photography workshops. Whether it’s learning to appreciate the world in black and white, or seeing textures differently, or perhaps taking time to notice details for the first time, photography doesn’t just capture the world in film, it can connect you to it as well.
Local photographer, Phil Morley, worked with the team at West Stow Country Park to deliver two summer workshops last year (2022), one for everyone over the age of 16 and one for anyone aged between 10 and 16, and two spring workshops this year (2023). Participants were given the option of sharing some of their results with the team at BFER and the images sent to us were stunning! They really capture the character and seasonal shift of the Country Park.
