Beautiful Boathouse Finally Built

After years of complications, the boathouse beside the Little Ouse in Thetford, planned under our Accessible Rivers project, is finally complete!

Over the years, the plans and designs have taken many forms, but we’re pleased to say we’ve settled on a sturdy, long-term, low-cost and flexible solution. The project took a small, disused corner of the garden at Riversdale House and repurposed an old storage container. With a bit of magic worked by the team at Bush Adventures, it’s now looking beautiful! Fully equipped with a generator and compressor, we hope this will be a great space for Bush Adventures to use for years to come – their youth work and outdoor activities are a wonderful asset to Thetford.
