BFER Tales from the River project lead Imogen Radford took us on a journey back in time, exploring the rivers of the Brecks.
On Thursday 14th November, BFER’s Tales from the River project lead, Imogen Radford, took us on a journey back in time, exploring the rivers of the Brecks. Tales from the River is a BFER project that has worked to uncover a wide range of local stories about river recreation across the Brecks. In this online talk, Imogen Radford shared examples of the many fascinating stories, anecdotes and memories that have been collected through the project. These have been captured from local people through oral history interviews across the Brecks, exploring the river network. The talk was illustrated with a fabulous array of historical photographs, sourced through volunteer led research at local archives and museums, as well as donated by local individuals.
The talk is now available to watch on the BFER YouTube Channel.
