A brand new learning resource has been created for land managers, providing information and advice on conserving archaeological assets.
The Brecks Fen edge and river valleys are one of the richest areas for archaeology in the UK. Many important finds have been made along the skirts of the Fenland and in the Wissey, Lark and Little Ouse valleys.
A brand new learning resource has been created through the BFER project, 2.1 Hidden Heritage, aimed to help inform and provide advice to Brecks land managers. The online presentation is now available on the BFER website and Youtube Channel. It provides a brief overview of the landscape history of the area, and explains the different kinds of archaeological assets and their vulnerabilities. It offers advice about how to manage this finite resource for future generations.
The presentation was created for BFER by Tim Holt-Wilson, David Robertson and Edward Martin, and read by Neil Jarvis.
This was made possible with thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
