The Final workshop for the Brecks Options Study - Findings and Recommendations - took place on the 5th December. More
Summer 2023 offered a couple of one-day learn to scythe courses at Ford Meadow in Thetford and Aggies Piece, Barningham.
The courses were aimed at teaching and developing individuals the essential practical skills needed to scythe effectively and covered aspects of scythe use, from grassland and wild flower habitat management, to weed control in allotments. Complete novices, by end of the day, were then able to return home able to cut their own grass with a scythe!
This was delivered by Norfolk Rivers Trust as part of our ‘Managing the Margins’ project. This was the second course in a series of two. Our many thanks to Richard Brown from www.wildscythe.co.uk, who delivered the training for us.
