Join local writer and talker Lynn Whitehead at West Stow Country Park to create haiku poems dedicated to the River Lark.
Adults and children alike will find beauty, intrigue and some ancient history down by the river at West Stow. On Sunday June 4th, you are invited to join Lynn and transform what you find by the water’s edge into ephemeral haiku poems. Very simple to learn and infinite in possibility, we’ll scribe our little verses onto leaves and let Nature read them before she whisks them away. Why not bring a picnic and make a day of it? Absolutely no poetry experience is necessary.
In September you’ll be invited to bring your family and friends back to our free Poetry Picnic to hear some of the poems read by professional actors or turned to songs and sung by a choir!
Suitable for 10yrs to 100. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult. Bring a brolly if the weather looks grim. Materials will be provided. There’s pay&display parking.
It’s £3.00 per person to attend, booking is through https://www.whatsonwestsuffolk.co.uk/whats-on/details.cfm?id=810347&ins=1174790
