Wild About Thetford: Spring Edition

Thetford is a town with an amazing array of wildlife, from king fishers to otters, and rare plant species. With its two chalk rivers, The Little Ouse, and the Thet, Thetford has a diverse freshwater habitat. Thetford is also home to iconic Brecks heathland at Barnhamcross Common, as well as the beautiful bird reserve at Nunnery Lakes.

This Easter holiday, why not discover more, and celebrate the wildlife around you at this nature celebration in the heart of the town.

Are you interested in supporting your local wildlife? Discover more about volunteering opportunities at a range of information stalls including The Brecks Fen Edge and Rivers Landscape Partnership Scheme, and the Thetford Town Council Conservation Volunteers.
