Thetford River 2K and 5K walk and run

Join us on a route that explores part of the tranquil riverside of the River Little Ouse. Whether you are looking for a scenic stroll, a leisurely jog, or a run, all are welcome to join these fun and welcoming 2k and 5k activities. The 2k route will take you along the riverside to the peaceful King Fisher Lakes and back. For those opting for the 5k route you will then continue along Spring Walks, to the historical Nuns Bridges. On the day keep an eye out not only for swans, ducks and geese, but also for kingfishers and storks, and maybe the occasional splash of a fish or even an otter!

The start and finish for both activities will be at Thetford Riverside, where there’ll be gazebos and parasols. Refreshments of sandwiches and drinks will be provided free of charge to participants to enjoy a post-activity picnic. Why not bring a chair or a picnic blanket and stay a while to socialise, and enjoy summer’s day at the riverside.

As part of our celebrations for National Volunteers’ Week, as a thank you for all of their support, BFER and Run Breckland volunteers are invited to take part free of charge with thanks to funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
