The Enchanted Forest – Yoga & Mindfulness Day

Calling all young wizards and witches between the ages of 7 and 11! Join us on an extraordinary adventure into the world of the Enchanted Forest. Kick start your summer holidays with a day filled with fun, excitement, and yoga exploration!

 

Activities Planned for the Day:

  • Yoga sessions: Children will participate in an interactive Harry Potter inspired yoga journey, meeting magical creatures and saluting the sun, moon and stars for protection.
  • Mindfulness exercises: An exploration of techniques to enhance focus, relaxation, and self-awareness.
  • Fun games & Magical Quiz & Riddles in the Forest: Get ready for exciting magical games, quizzes and activities that promote teamwork, laughter, and fun!
  • Enchanting Craft Activities: Children will have the opportunity to express their creativity making protective amulets or painting mandalas.
  • Mindfulness Walk: Join us in the forest to collect samples for your school potions exam.

The Enchanted Forest – Yoga & Mindfulness Day

When: Monday 22nd July

Where: West Stow Country Park, Icklingham Road, West Stow, Bury Saint Edmunds IP28 6HG

Time: 10am-3pm

Ages: All activities will be tailored to suit the age range of 7-11 and will prioritise fun, learning, and enjoyment.

Cost: Fully funded with thanks to the support of the National Lottery Heritage Fund

Facilitator: This event will be led by Jordanna Campbell from Jordanna Offers Yoga.

 

What to Bring: To make the most of their adventure, children should come prepared with the following:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for physical movement
  • Sunscreen (already applied)
  • Sunhat
  • Sunglasses (optional)
  • Packed lunch (nut-free) and a labelled water bottle
  • A break time snack
  • (optional) a yoga mat

 

Note: This camp day is made possible by the generous funding from the National Lottery Heritage Fund through the BFER project. The event organisers will ensure a safe environment throughout the day, with professionally qualified staff present. All activities will be age-appropriate and designed to provide a memorable and enjoyable adventure.
