River Lark Loop

Celebrate the launch of the Brecks Outdoor Festival at an easy-going guided walk around the River Lark in Mildenhall.

A short, easy-going walk guiding participants to particular points of the Lark in Mildenhall to discuss access improvements that have been made, in addition to discussing plans for the river locally.

The walk will start at Jubilee Fields and take you to points of interest in the immediate surroundings to look at how the riverbank has been protected, paths improved, and how the area may look in future.

The walk will be led by Suffolk County Council staff, and participants will be meeting various stakeholders along the route to discuss the river, access, ecology and other areas, in relation to Mildenhall.

These walks will take place as part of the launch day of the Brecks Outdoor Festival, a two week celebration of the landscapes and heritage of the Norfolk and Suffolk Brecks. Throughout the day, there will be additional drop-in activities to take part in at Jubilee Fields, and information stalls from BFER and other local organisations. After taking part in a guided walk, why not have a go at canoeing or stand up paddle boarding on the river, try your hand at axe throwing, or enjoy a picnic on the riverside green!
