River Exploration & Axe Throwing Experiences

Have a go at a new adventure! Explore the scenic River Little Ouse on canoes and paddle boards for a fun family activity on the water. No experience necessary. The Bush Adventures instructors will help you get the hang of things so that you can make the most of your time on the water!

For those that wish to remain firmly on the ground, why not unleash your inner Viking! Have a go at axe throwing guided by the Bush Adventures team!

 

 

River Exploration & Axe Throwing Experiences

When: Saturday 7th September 2024

Where: Thetford Riverside Jetty (Thetford Riverside, midway between the School Lane and Tanner Street car parks.)

Time: Drop in from 10am – 4pm. Paddle sports available for 1 hour timeslots.

Cost:

Canoe: £25 per hour

Stand up paddle board: £15 per hour

Axe throwing: £10 per 5 goes (3 axes per go)

Ages: All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout. Axe throwing is for ages 8+ with parental supervision.

 

Further Information:

Accessibility: This event will be based on Thetford’s Riverside. Axe throwing will take place on a grass surface, which may be wet or muddy underfoot. The activity is accessible via Thetford’s riverside paths, which are paved and well surfaced. Transport: Thetford train station and bus station are both within 15-20 minutes walk of Riverside. Find information about bus times and services on the bus times website, https://bustimes.org/localities/thetford-norfolk. Free car parks are available including School Lane, Tanner Street, and Cage Lane.

 

Facilities: Toilets (a few minutes away from the start and finish), in Cage Lane. The Kiosk on Riverside has a wide range of food and drink, and there are other shops in cafés in the town.

 

What to wear/bring: Closed toe shoes are essential, no flipflops. Please bring a towel and change of clothes if going on the water.

 

Dogs: Dogs on leads are welcome
