Join us for this one hour session to combine nature and sound in the beautiful setting of Brandon Country Park. Experience the relaxation of being immersed in sound under the canopy of trees on a Summer evening. Sound meditation can offer a welcome break from the inner dialogue, offering the opportunity to rest and rebalance mind, body and emotions as you drift with the sounds.
This is a session created specifically for those who have heard of sound baths / sound therapy and are curious to try it for the the very first time. So we will begin with a short explanation of what a sound bath is, potential benefits, how to get settled and comfy etc. Then you can simply rest and enjoy the sounds and sights of nature, a seasonally inspired guided meditation and an immersive instrumental soundscape. The instruments used can be drum, gongs, singing bowls and chimes.
As this session is offered as a gentle introduction to outdoor sound baths, f you are an existing sound bath attendee or another practitioner, you are warmly invited to leave these spaces free to allow others new to this practice to experience it for the first time. Thank you for your consideration.
Please note: We are planning for this to be outdoors, however should the weather dictate (due to rain, temperatures or wind speeds) we may need to be indoors at The Engine House which is the indoor venue space at the country park. We will confirm with you nearer to the event if this needs to be the case.

Accessibility and Considerations: A sound meditation is relaxing for most guests, however sound is powerful and has the potential to evoke memories and emotions. With this in mind it is generally understood that coming to a sound bath may not be suitable for you if you experience any of the following: sound induced epilepsy, a pacemaker fitted, acute/severe mental health concerns, are in crisis, experiencing active addiction, Meniere’s or any health condition triggered by sound, or if you are in the first trimester of pregnancy. It is also common to drift to sleep at times in a sound bath so a group session will not be the right setting if you experience sleep apnoea. Should any of these apply to you please get in touch as soon as possible for a confidential discussion so you can decide if this experience is right for you.
Sound can sometimes be emotive, often shifting and releasing emotions which is always supported within the space. If you are experiencing active trauma or a particularly challenging circumstance in your life you might like to keep this in mind, perhaps considering whether this is the right time for you to receive a session in a group setting. Please do reach out in confidence to let the event leader know of anything they could possibly support you with during or after the session. Nicky@soundandground.co.uk
