Cavenham Heath is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, and is of national importance for its rare and endangered invertebrate species, as well as nationally rare species of flora. The site features typical Brecks heathland, with dry, acidic sandy soil supporting acid grass heath. In the flood-plain of the River Lark, the site also features riverside meadows, wet woodland scrub, and small areas of fen. Find out more about what makes the Brecks so unique HERE
