Guided Bat Walk at West Stow Country Park
Discover the nocturnal nightlife of West Stow Country Park this Easter with bat expert, Lindsey Bilston.
On this guided walk, you will explore the twilight world of West Stow Country Park with guide, Lindsey Bilston (of the Norfolk and Norwich Bat Group).
West Stow Country Park is thriving natural landscape of heathland and woodland. Located around the historical site of West Stow Anglo Saxon Village, this is an exciting opportunity to experience the Country Park after hours. As you walk, you will learn about bats and their habitats, and use bat detectors to listen out for and identify any that are present.
This is an outdoor event. Please wrap up warm and wear sturdy footwear. Please be prepared to journey mainly in the dark (head torches will be provided).
Friday 14th April
7:45pm – 9:30pm (The event will start at 7:45pm with an introduction on bats and using bat detectors. We will then walk as a group through the Country Park for approximately 75 minutes. This will be at a slow pace with multiple pause points.)
