Try something new while getting close to nature. Paddle down the river Thet and see the sights of Thetford Town from a different point of view. Being on the river is the perfect way to get closer to some of the river’s locals: ducks and moorhens, perch and chub and maybe even a kingfisher!
Choose to paddle either a canoe or paddle board, and have a go whatever your ability. Whether you’ve never paddled before or go out regularly in your spare time, there is something for everyone. The activity will begin with a short guide by one of our knowledgeable instructors, who are there to give tips and guidance on the appropriate paddling techniques dependent on your chosen craft.
The event is an hour duration so you’ll have time to develop new skills, connect with nature and paddle past some noticeable cultural landmarks.
We will provide buoyancy aids, paddles and crafts. The buoyancy aid must be worn by everyone on the water no matter swimming ability or age.
Suitable for ages 4+
Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult on the same board or boat. 12-16s must be accompanied by an adult on the water.

Transport: Thetford train station is a 25 minute walk away and Thetford bus station is a 15 minute walk away.
Parking: There is free, unlimited time parking in various town centre car parks nearby such as School Lane Car-Park (IP24 2AG) or Tanner Street Car-Park (IP24 2BQ)
