Eriswell & Waterside Walk

A relaxed and social guided walk covering the most popular sights and public paths of the village of Eriswell.

Explore the tranquil Suffolk countryside, discovering local features including the cut-off channel, Mildenhall Forest, farm and grazing land, Eriswell village and church yard.

Time: 9am – 12pm

Distance: Approximately 3.7 miles

Ages: Welcoming adults and children ages 5+ (children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout).

Accessibility: This walk will take place on gently undulating rural ground, mostly following mowed public rights of way paths. Pathways may be uneven or muddy underfoot, and may contain mole hills. The route is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs. If you have any questions or concerns about accessibility, please contact the BFER Team via:

Facilities: Toilet and café facilities are located in the village of Eriswell where the route will start and end.

What to wear/bring: Please wear sturdy closed toe footwear suitable for walking on uneven or muddy ground. Please dress appropriately for the weather, with sun/rain protection. You may wish to bring a bottle of water. We recommend covering arms and legs to reduce the chance of insect/tick bites.

Dogs: Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome.

Transport: Free parking is available at the meeting point.
