Forest Bathing at West Stow
Join us as we take a walk through West Stow Country Park, giving you an opportunity to truly slow down and unwind. More

Hear stories about swimming, fishing, boating and having fun in the rivers, as well as seeing sites of Brandon’s trading and industrial history.
Discover Brandon’s River History, Guided River History Walk
The walk will begin at Brandon Remembrance Playing Fields Social Club, leading down past The Avenue and the Orchard and to the Town Bridge. We will follow the river a short way upstream before returning down the riverside path along to Brandon Staunch and back to our starting point.

This walk will be led by Imogen Radford. Imogen is the project lead for Tales from the River, a BFER project uncovering a wide range of local stories about the Brecks Fen Edge and rivers including oral histories, myths and legends. Find out more HERE

Walking conditions: The walk is easy, and all paths have good surfaces.
Meeting Point: We will meet at the Brandon Remembrance Playing Fields Social Club (Church Rd, Brandon IP27 0EN)

Travel: The closest bus stop is located at Tesco Supermarket, Brandon, which is a 5 minute walk away from the meeting point. Find information about bus times and services HERE
Brandon train station is approximately a 20 minute walk from the event starting point.
Free car parking is available in the Brandon Leisure Centre car park
Dogs: Well-behaved dogs allowed on leads
What to wear: Please wear clothing suitable for the weather, such as rain and sun protection, and warm layers. Please wear closed toe footwear, and be aware that some of the paths could be muddy under foot.
Facilities: Toilet facilities and refreshments are available at the social club where the walk starts and ends
