Craft and Cake

Bring your own craft project and join a friendly and social craft and chat. Or drop-in to meet the group and discover more about their current projects.

Thetford Town Council’s Volunteer Craft Group meet weekly on a Wednesday morning for a social creative gathering. The group use their combined skills to work on textile based projects.  These have included creating crocheted flowers en masse to cover the Thetford Carnegie to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s  Platinum Jubilee. The group are currently working on a series of textile panels for BFER, depicting scenes inspired by Thetford’s two rivers, the Thet and Little Ouse. The first completed panel combines the group’s collective skills in textiles, crochet, and knitting, and shows a scene inspired by the abundance of river wildlife found in Thetford. You can view the panel on display in Thetford Library from May 24th.

Join the group for a drop-in social craft session, at Thetford Library.
