Join us on a circular walk crossing between the Norfolk and Suffolk boundary, along the Little Ouse river.

The walk begins with a look at the river from the narrowboat mooring, crossing above the weir at Brandon Staunch, following the river and taking in the historical buildings and sites. We then return via the beautiful Orchard and along the historic and lovely Victoria Avenue.

We will immerse ourselves in the sights and sounds of the river Little Ouse and get a sense of its importance in the history of the town. We will hear stories about swimming, fishing, boating and having fun in the rivers, see sites of Brandon’s trading, industrial and social history, and invite participants to stop and take in sensory and cultural resonance at some of the locations.

When: Tuesday 15th October : 10am – 12:30pm
