Botanical Illustration Walk

On this relaxed guided stroll, you will join local artist Stephanie Hartick to learn quick drawing techniques for documenting plant life. You will explore the tranquil heathland, woodlands, and riverside of West Stow Country Park, drawing plants and flowers as you explore. You will learn how to capture field notes about local plant life, by using quick drawing techniques. The workshop will provide you with information to help you identify plants from your field sketches.

No prior art experience is required. This walk is suitable for all levels and will be a fun opportunity for creativity in a beautiful Brecks landscape.

Parking: On-site parking is available (please note that a £3 all day park charge applies)

What to wear/bring: Please note that this event will be taking place outdoors, so please wear clothing appropriate for the weather, including layers and wet weather wear. The event is taking place in the Country Park. Please bring a camping stool, sit mat, or something to sit on.

Equipment: All art supplies will be provided.

Accessibility: The walk will be taken at a slow and gentle pace, with multiple stopping points for sitting and drawing. There will be a member of staff or volunteer walking at the back of the group throughout. Please note that the Country Park has mixed terrain and may be uneven underfoot.
