Many of the flat and straight roads have relatively little traffic on. There is a good mix of easy going routes for all the family, to the more challenging off-road routes for those seeking greater adventure.
Cycle competitions and events are held here throughout the year including the Mildenhall Cycling Festival and Dusk Till Dawn at High Lodge. Cyclists can also take advantage of special fares and facilities on trains and discounted entry at some visitor attractions, such as Oxburgh Hall (National Trust).

National Cycle Network Route 13 Sustrans
Route 13 passes through The Brecks between Watton and Thetford connecting to cycle route 1.

The Brecks Cycling Discovery Route
20 mile/22 km circular route, taking in the Georgian market town of Swaffham and Oxburgh Hall (NT). There is a 10 mile/16 km shortcut. Contact: 0870 2254852.
Cycling in Thetford Forest.
There are three trails through from Theford Forest High Lodge Visitor Centre. Brandon Country Park and High Lodge loops are both 6.5 miles/10.5 km long; the Black Route is 8 miles/12.9 km one way. Free access for cyclists on land owned by the Forestry Commission.
Swaffham Bridle Route
This route is 21 miles / 34 km long passing through rolling farmland around Swaffham It is mainly on tracks and minor roads. Tel: NCC 01603 222143
